Welcome To the Tokai Pony Club Arena

The Tokai Pony Club Arena is a community riding facility located in the heart of a prime equestrian area, with direct access to the Table Mountain National Park network of riding trails.

The Arena is available on an affordable membership basis as a secure space for riders to exercise and train their horses and ponies, and to have lessons.

It offers:

  • A fully enclosed environment with dog-proof fencing
  • Two 20 x 60 dressage arenas and a 50 x 50 sand and rubber-chip jumping arena
  • Space within the facility for horseboxes, and safe loading and unloading
  • Use of the jumping arena for lessons on a booking system
  • Opportunity to have lessons with your own instructor at no extra cost
  • Use by non-members for R100 with prior arrangement

The Tokai area offers a unique equestrian environment, in the heart of the Constantia valley, just 20 minutes from the centre of Cape Town. There are numerous stable yards offering livery and kilometres of outride trails in the Table Mountain National Park with the purchase of an annual SANParks Activity permit. A representative body, the Tokai District Riders’ Association wroks hard to ensure access to and maintenance these trails. Tokai is also within easy reach of show venues in Noordhoek, Constantia and Hout Bay.
